Digital Research in the Arts and Humanities
Digital Research in the Arts and Humanities
Most volumes in the series Digital Research in the Arts and Humanities, published by Ashgate, will be based on papers given at individual Methods Network Expert Seminars. Others have been specially commissioned to address particular research areas. Most volumes will be made available in print form, although other forms of publication are being explored where appropriate.
Each publication is being produced for an expert audience but will also be accessible to scholars from other discipline areas, as one of the key concerns of the Methods Network is to disseminate and share information across the range of arts and humanities disciplines. Practice in one discipline can positively influence practice in another arts and humanities subject area. The volumes will not only stand alone as guides but will collectively form a suite of textbooks, which feed into specialist workshops and training events.
The ultimate aim of these expert publications is to provide an authoritative reflection of the ‘state of the art’ in the application of advanced ICT methods to arts and humanities disciplines. It is intended that research practitioners will turn to these publications as a matter of course over the next few years, and that they will remain an important statement of current research at the time of publication, in later years.
